Over the past several years many Mustang enthusiast have visited our show rooms and wished that they could feel more comfortable sitting behind the steering wheel of a classic mustang. We have had people not purchase a classic Mustang because the steering wheel rubbed their legs or tummy when sitting in the car. We researched tilt steering columns for classic Mustangs thoroughly. We wanted a tilt column that worked perfectly and looked like it belonged in the car. We selected the tilt columns from FLAMING RIVER. In keeping with our philosophy of not selling any part that we have not installed in our shop, we installed several FLAMING RIVER tilt steering columns. They more than met our expectations. We have listed the FLAMING RIVER tilt columns that we offer along with pictures of a column actually installed in a classic Mustang.
IMPORTANT NOTE 1: 1965 and 1966 Mustangs cannot have a rally pac installed if they have a tilt column. The tilt mechanism interferes with the rally pac mounting location.
IMPORTANT NOTE 2: 1965-1966 Mustangs with a deluxe wood wheel or standard steering wheel require a special horn contact kit and a horn relay. These parts are available from K.A.R.
