Today, K.A.R. Auto Group has a staff of 8 full time and 3 part time Mustang lovers anxious to serve the Classic Mustang enthusiast.

Mary - K.A.R. Auto Group, Inc.

Meet Mary: Mary wears several hats at K.A.R. First of all, she is our bookkeeper, which is an extremely important role in a small independent business. Mary also produces all of our statistical reports that we use to track our business. As if those duties were enough for a full time job, Mary is also our inventory control specialist. Mary is in the middle of installing a computer based inventory control system at K.A.R. to include automated check out with a bar coding system tied to a check out scanner.
Mary can also be found waiting on customers in our retail store and taking phone orders when everyone else is also busy. We are really fortunate to have a person with Mary’s talents, work ethic, and dedication to getting it done right on the K.A.R. team.

Judy - K.A.R. Auto Group, Inc.

Meet Judy: Judy is our administration manager and an owner of K.A.R. When we decided to really grow the business over 6 years ago, we knew we would need a top flight inside manager to insure all of the many administrative issues are handled on a timely and accurate basis. K.A.R. has sold hundreds and hundreds of Mustangs and, thanks to Judy, we have never had a title issue. Judy insures every buyer’s investment is protected with a clear title. K.A.R. has never failed to furnish a buyer with a perfect title.

Judy also manages many other important functions such as payroll, worker's compensation, employee benefits, insurance, telephone system, office equipment, and much more. Oh! When you call K.A.R. you are likely to hear Judy’s cheerful voice on the other end. She also knows Mustang parts and can be relied upon to not only take your order but also professionally pack it for shipment. Judy's other title is "Shipper Judy". We are truly fortunate to have Judy on the K.A.R. team.

Kevin - K.A.R. Auto Group, Inc.

Meet Kevin: Kevin is a founding member of K.A.R. In fact, K.A.R. stands for "Kevin Allen Roberts." As you can see from the picture, Kevin loves Mustangs and his job. For 22 years he has restored, repaired, and serviced Mustangs. Kevin's duties as Service and Restoration Manager provide K.A.R. with a level of leadership unequaled in the Mustang industry. Kevin's other hobby is collecting sports cards!

Tommy - K.A.R. Auto Group, Inc.

Meet Tommy: Tommy joined K.A.R. as a junior technician approximately 3 years ago. Tommy is the son of Bob, our senior parts associate in our retail store and mail order division. For years Bob owned and operated an auto repair facility until the land became so vailable that he could not renew his lease. Tommy worked with Bob in this business and learned a great deal from his ASE certified mechanic father. Tommy tackles many projects at K.A.R. including engine compartment detailing, interior restoration, and disassembly of Mustangs for suspension and brake work. Tommy shares his father's great work ethic and we are delighted to have him on the K.A.R. team. Tommy collects DVD's and unwinds with his large screen TV. Music is also high on Tommy's list. He also loves to bike ride when Ohio weather permits. When you visit K.A.R. stop by the shop and say hello to Tommy!

Chris - K.A.R. Auto Group, Inc.

Meet Chris: Chris grew up in a classic Mustang family. Long before Chris joined the K.A.R. team his father, Carl, often stopped by to purchase parts for his 1969 Mach 1. Chris restored his first Mustang when he was 14 years old and has "played cars" ever since. Of course, in addition to Chris' family garage training, he also studied auto mechanics in vocational school. We feel very fortunate to have a person of Chris' talent and professional attitude on the K.A.R. team. Chris is a perfectionist who gets it done right the first time. Chris' other hobby is karate where he has earned his black belt. In the unlikely event that Chris should make a mistake, neither Kevin nor George is going to take him to the woodshed.

Derek - K.A.R. Auto Group, Inc.

Meet Derek: Derek is the youngest member of the K.A.R. team. Derek studied body tech. for two years before venturing out into the market place. After a year and a half of solid on-the-job experience we were able to convince Derek to join our team. Derek is an excellent welder and finish technician. Under the careful guidance and tutoring of Kevin Roberts, an owner of K.A.R. with 22 years of Classic Mustang restoration experience, Derek is progressing rapidly proving to be a quick study. Derek really cares about his work and strives for perfection.

Derek's other hobby is karate and jujitsu. Derek is a black belt in karate, 3rd ranked heavyweight in the U.S. and a recent first place winner in the world renowned Irish Cup, which is fought, of course, in Ireland. No taking Derek to the woodshed! We are delighted to have a person of Derek's skills and character on the K.A.R. team.

Kevin Allen - K.A.R. Auto Group, Inc.

Meet Kevin Allen: Kevin Allen is the son of Kevin Allen Roberts (K.A.R.) and our summer intern. Kevin Allen has his father's strong work ethic and passion for detail. Our technicians fight for his services since he is a quick study and excellent mechanic's helper. We will hate to see Kevin Allen return to school. It is, however, gratifying to know that another generation of Roberts with a passion for Mustangs is lurking on the horizon! Kevin Allen's other hobby is playing the drums where he is also a quick study!

Bob - K.A.R. Auto Group, Inc.

Meet Bob: We are delighted to have had Bob join the K.A.R. team in 2002. Bob is a member of our in-store and mail order sales staff. As you may or may not know, the K.A.R. parts sales staff are not just “order takers” with a computer monitor in front of them. Every member of our sales staff has technical knowledge. Bob is an ASE Certified mechanic. He has hands on experience for almost 30 years. Actually Bob managed his own automotive repair facility for a number of years before losing his lease because the land was too valuable to continue leasing as a repair facility.

Bob is very capable to assist you with your technical questions. Bob will know the parts you need and why you need them. Describe your problems or issues and Bob will try to help you solve them. We are delighted to have Bob on the K.A.R. sales staff. Once you deal with Bob we feel certain you too will value this knowledgeable resource.

Pete - K.A.R. Auto Group, Inc.

Meet Pete: Pete is actually one of the oldest members of K.A.R. with employment dating back to his high school days in 1988 and 1989. At the same time Pete is also the newest member of the K.A.R. team. Pete worked summers at K.A.R. during high school and his first few years of college. His employment began as a technician's assistant and progressed to a full time restoration technician. Pete actually restored a 1965 Mustang convertible to such a high level that it was purchased by Ford Motor Company to be used in a dealer incentive program.

Pete aborted his college career for a few years to pursue his passion for restoring Classic Mustangs. He actually restored his first show winning Mustang, a stunning GT coupe, at the tender age of 15. Pete returned to college to complete a mechanical engineering degree at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. He graduated "with honors" in 2001 and was immediately hired by the JET PROPULSION LABORATORY in Pasadena, California to work on the design and development of the enormously successful Mars Rover Program. Pete served on the suspension design team for SPIRIT and OPPORTUNITY, the rovers that successfully landed on Mars in early 2004.

Despite Pete's great mechanical engineering position with JPL and noteworthy success there, he simply could not get Classic Mustangs out of his system. Pete resigned his position with JPL and has rejoined K.A.R. as a mechanical engineer heading up our RESTO-MOD and REPLI-K.A.R. operations. Pete will be headquartered in Flagstaff, Arizona. K.A.R. is embarking on an aggressive program of building high quality RESTO-MOD Mustangs. The first two rust free, all original body panel Classic Mustang donor cars have been purchased and are staged to ship to Flagstaff. Stay tuned to this website for more on this exciting new K.A.R. development. Please join me in welcoming Pete back to the K.A.R. team and wishing him every business success.
