Step 1
Call K.A.R. and request a "Seller's Evaluation Form" or click on the red button above to download our Classic Evaluation Form or Late Model Evaluation Form. This is an easy to follow form that, when completed, thoroughly describes your classic Mustang's overall condition, options, accessories, mechanical condition, and history. This evaluation form can also be faxed or mailed to you. We read these forms as soon as we receive them. If your Mustang meets our purchase criteria, we then contact you by telephone.

Step 2
When we contact you, we will request that you prepare a video tape or DVD of your Mustang utilizing a home movie camera printable instructions & forms here. You do not have to be a Hollywood producer to come up with good video footage of your Mustang. We can provide you with a list of instructions that explains exactly what to tape. If you are uncomfortable with the instructions, we will mail you a sample video or DVD to use as a guide. We require a $10.00 refundable deposit for the sample video or DVD. Once we receive your video/DVD, we will review it and quickly reach a purchase decision.

Step 3
Assuming your Mustang has met our purchase criteria, we obviously must agree on a purchase price. Once price agreement is reached, we ask for proof of ownership to be faxed or mailed to us. This simply means that we must see a copy of the front and back sides of the Mustang's title. We must verify that the Mustang is owned by you and that no liens exist against the car. We do purchase Mustangs with existing liens, but we must deal directly with the lien holder to insure the lien is satisfied as part of the purchase process.

Step 4
Once Steps 1 through 3 are completed, we immediately forward payment via wire transfer or cashier's check to either you or the lien holder. The title, free of liens, must then be forwarded to K.A.R. by priority or certified mail.

Step 5
K.A.R. makes the transportation/shipping arrangements. We contract with a carrier to pick up the Mustang at your location and transport it to K.A.R. Auto Group's facility in Columbus, Ohio. We assume full cost of this transportation. Please note that it can take from one day to three weeks to have the Mustang picked up depending upon your geographical location and availability of a reliable transporter.

How long does the entire purchase process take?
With full cooperation from you, the seller, and K.A.R. this process can be completed in as little time as one week. The maximum time period should be two weeks. We are capable of moving very quickly, but we must have the seller's full cooperation. If it is possible for you to bring your Mustang to our facility, this process can be completed in "one day."
