Description:
This is an original rust-free California car that spent most of its life in California and North Carolina. It is also an all original body panel car. All original body panel cars are rare finds today. The paint is older paint. It still shines nicely but should be considered driver quality paint and not show quality paint. Exterior chrome and moldings are all in very nice condition. The wire wheel covers are 1968 covers with red center cap emblems. The former owner chose them due to the matching red center caps. The black standard interior is in very nice overall condition. There are no rips or tears. K.A.R. is replacing the sunvisors and door panels, which are the interior's weak points. This Mustang is powered by the 6-cylinder 200 cubic inch engine. It runs very well. In 1966 the speed limit was 70 MPH on major highways and the 6 cylinder cars would run all day at that speed. Given today's gas prices you might like a 6-cylinder's fuel economy versus a V-8. This is a structurally solid Mustang that has never been exposed to the corrosive effects of winter road salt. Six cylinder convertibles are fun to drive and cost thousands less than V-8 convertibles.
