We have recently installed the Flaming River manual rack and pinion steering system on a 1965 Mustang fastback. This fastback was equipped with long tube headers. The fit was excellent. There are a few areas where the tolerances are close. The system not only fit well but also worked well. Steering was immediate and firm. The steering feel was approximately mid way between conventional manual steering and conventional power steering.
