We receive frequent calls from Classic Mustang owners inquiring about the availability of headrests for their pony. they are obviously concerned about whiplash in the event of an accident. K.A.R. has researched headrests to determine the best available for safety and appearance. We also considered ease of installation and how easily the headrests could be removed should an owner choose to return the Mustang back to stock someday. The pictures of the 1966 fastback and 1965 convertible show how nice the headrests look. The mounting hardware is completely hidden and easily removeable. The headrests are not adjustable. Our tests indicate that they will work well for a driver up to 6 feet tall. The headrests should be in a position to prevent whiplash for anyone up to this maximum height.
The headrests are available in black, burgundy, medium blue, tan, red, turquoise, white, and grey. other colors are available on a special order basis. They come complete with everything necessary for mounting plus easy to follow instructions.

The convertible gallery pictures will show headrests installed in a 1965 Mustang convertible. This car also received the 3-point shoulder belts. The headrests shown are actually too bright of white. They should be more of a creamy white. We have brought this to the manufacturer's attention and they are in the process of changing the color. Please note the anchor point for 3-point belts on the convertible.
