Many of our customers inquire about the availability of shoulder belts for 1965 through 1970 classic Mustangs. They are worried about proper protection in the event of a collision. This is a valid concern if the Mustang owner drives his or her classic Mustang and today, most Mustang owners drive their Ponies. In an effort to meet these concerns we researched 3-point seat belts to find what we think is the best option to improve safety but yet not look out of place in a classic Mustang.
K.A.R. always installs and tests every item that we recommend. You will see from the pictures that we installed our recommended 3-point shoulder belts in a 1966 Mustang Fastback and a 1965 Mustang convertible. The installation was straight forward. The fastback took more time than the convertible because of the anchoring point behind the front seats and into the headliner. The owners of both of these Mustangs were extremely pleased with their installation. They both now feel safer when driving their Ponies.
